Vanessa served as a volunteer with Fusion Core in their first Florida season in 2025. Her daughter Avery marched in the Colorguard. After marching with Fusion, Avery is going to follow her dream of marching with a DCI World Corps for the 2026 season. Vanessa found her home with Fusion and has decided to support her daughter as she takes the next step in her marching journey, but also feels that she has found her home with Fusion Core and has decided to join the Administration.

Vanessa has been active in the marching arts since 2021, serving in a variety of administrative roles. She also studied musical theater at Johnson State College in Vermont, where she also earned recognition as a multi-time state music competition winner.

Before moving into education and the arts, she worked as a paramedic for five years with Chittenden County in Vermont. She currently resides in Vero Beach, Florida, and works as the Administrative Assistant at Oslo Middle School.
