We would hope that our 15 year celebration would go on without a hitch but unfortunately, Covid is part of our every day routine at this point. While it's been a huge inconvenience, we've learned a lot about navigating through life with just some adjustments. We are happy to say that we are able to still have an open house, outdoors, and the weather is going to be PERFECT.
Our open house will be held, Saturday, October 10th at the Jefferson Township School complex. Check in/Screening will start at 9:00 am and the day's festivities will start promptly at 10:00 am.
Your safety is our main priority. We will follow CDC Guidelines and recommendations and expect all who to attend to respect our requirements without question.
Each member will be required to fill out a participation waiver & Covid assessment form prior to arrival. We ask that all forms are filled out and emailed to us no later than Thursday, October 8th. There can be no leniency with this.
The COVID-19 symptoms form is a screening survey that pertains to the attendee and others living in their household. Members who are experiencing seasonal allergies should stay home. The following symptoms will disqualify any member from attending open house (or any in person rehearsal after Open House):
• Temperature of 100.4 F or above
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Chills • Repeated shaking with chills
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell
• Diarrhea
• Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
• Known close contact with a person who is a lab confirmed to have COVID-19.
Screening will consist of confirming that all forms were filled out and received, taking temperatures and ensuring that all members are equipped with the necessary items, such as face masks, water jugs and sun screen.
Be sure to eat a hearty breakfast prior to arrival. We will give you a lunch break, but we will request that EVERY PARTICIPANT BRING A BAGGED LUNCH and you stay on premises and physical distancing protocols will be observed without question. Please understand that you may be denied reentry if you leave the premises.
Rehearsal will end in time for dinner on your own.
Rehearsal Protocol
Parking will be in the lot BETWEEN the middle school and High School (see diagram). Everyone will need to register upon arrival. We will have tables set up for each section. Masks are required the minute you step out of your car, and no one will be permitted to attend without a properly fitting mask.
Participants names and temperatures will be logged.
ALL ATTENDEES will be required to wear masks at all times. The only exception will be brass players, who will be permitted to remove their masks for playing. We have bell covers to cover the brass instruments. Brass players will be required to wear masks when not playing
Each member will have a “space” that will allow enough room for them and the necessary items needed for the day. Whatever we do, at all times, physical distancing will be part of the routine.
If you have your own instrument/equipment, please bring it. If not, the Core will provide one for the day.
Participants who use Core equipment will be responsible for wiping down the instrument with the proper cleaner before it is loaded back in the truck.
Only one member at a time may enter the truck to unload and load/retrieve equipment.
Supplies that support healthy hygiene, including soap, hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol (as recommended by the CDC), tissues, paper towels, etc. will be provided.
A hand wash station will be on site for frequent hand washing
All members will be required to bring enough water to last the full length of the rehearsal. Bottles of water will be available in case of emergency and will be handed out by a staff member as needed.
Sharing of food or drinks will be strictly prohibited.
These rehearsal sessions will be for participants ONLY. Visitors will be asked to observe from a distance in order to ensure everyone’s safety and will not be permitted in the area without face masks
We hope that you will join us for our special year. The year will be special for US and for YOU.
